Many People Killed, My Dad Almost Shot Dead - Nnamdi Kanu Finally Talks on Military Invasion of His Home
The younger brother to Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB), has told TheCable that four persons were killed and 15 arrested during in the “invasion” of Kanu’s house by soldiers on Thursday .
Emmanuel Kanu, who is also known as “fine boy”, said the soldiers
did not find his brother, thought to be the target of the visit.
Meanwhile, speaking in a live telephone interview on Channels
Television, monitored by a TORI News correspondent on Friday, Nnamdi
Kanu said the military killed 22 people, almost shot dead his father and
also killed the family's only dog during his home invasion by the
military at the Afarauku area of Umuahia, the Abia state capital.
The spokesman of 14 Brigade Ohafia, Oyegoke Gbadamosi, a major,
declined to speak on the allegations, while the deputy director, army
public relations 82 Division Enugu, Sagir Musa, a colonel, did not pick
his call.
